Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate Discussion Thread

We finally learn about the Oosawa incident. Oosawa's an asshole. And we meet her, as she returns to power at Public Safety, and she shows that yes, she really is kind of a horrible person. And she has little interest in helping Oojima win the election.

Also, they've apparently had someone watching Oojima for quite some time. I'm guessing Michiru is their spy, just because it seems like the only reasonable way to do anything with her this late in the show when its done absolutely nothing with her otherwise up to this point.

The first half was pretty emotional - it felt a little rushed though. He's right; there can never be true love between the two as long as she continues to see him as Daiki.

It's nice though that he sincerely cares about her though as himself and not as what she sees him as. Now, since Chisato has lost Daiki "twice" - she'll overcome her past and blah blah happens. Secret agents trained and deployed? Seriously? That's crazy. But, politics is serious business at Takafuji Academy.

Not surprised at the revelation that Michiru is a spy as the show has been hinting at it all along. But, she's possibly on Oojima's side anyways?

Two episodes left and we're still on a rollercoaster of a ride here. I hope the show ends in a bang. Chocolate is mostly resolved, Election will be resolved, but Love? Still up in the air.

Honestly, my respect increased for Oojima in this episode. Now I understand why he's been acting the way he has towards her. Also, the "it's not love" line now makes sense--he wasn't talking about himself but Chisato. The whole time he was torn between wanting to support Chisato and knowing that Chisato didn't entirely see him as him. If we assume he does have feelings for her, it must have been rather painful for him. And bringing it to the forefront was quite risky (since if she did only see him as a replacement for her brother, he could lose her).

As far as Chisato goes, if she can overcome her trauma and see Oojima for Oojima (and not partially a replacement for her brother) I think she and Oojima can go on to have a healthy, productive relationship. Otherwise, while I still support team Chisato, I would not want them to end up Vintage Trouwjurk together. This is something Chisato needs to work through. I believe she can do it.

Episode 10:

- Huh, Daiki died much longer ago than I had thought. Chisato has been trying to live with this almost her entire life. And this explains her occasionally giving Yuuki chocolate.

- And Yuuki is fine. Summer is the season of trucks not being dangerous.

- "I feel sorry for the guy who hit him." Hahah, those two are so brutal.

- Hours later Chisato is still glued to his arm.

- And, wow. I did not expect Yuuki to have such an intense emotional reaction to Chisato's continued clinginess, but I think it was extremely effective in letting the audeince know that this has Cocktailjurken 2012 been going on for a very long time, and it's not just Chisato who is deeply affected by it. I don't even mind that he hit her, although I was surprised by how hard it was depicted as being. And then Chisato desperately needs him to eat chocolate for her and it's pretty heartwrenching to watch. Thumbs up all in all for vividly displaying just how utterly broken Chisato is, and just how hard it is for Yuuki to be stuck playing the role of emotional support. Or more like her entire emotional anchor to reality.

- He tries to set her straight, she eats chocolate and retches it up, and, jeeze. Yeah, well played. I thought that entire scene was phenomenal. And it clearly explains why he doesn't see romantic love between them - she's not even thinking about the person named Oojima Yuuki, so how can she love him? She just sees Daiki. I'm surprised she was unaware of it - and that he hadn't said anything. But both of them keeping it locked inside for probably 10 years now explains why it erupted so strongly all at once.

- Now to move from Koi and Chocolate to Senkyo.

- Michiru either wasn't wearing panties this time, or had something quite skimpy on. Oh and she can see auras. >_>

- Heh, vloer-length avondjurken man, Michiru sounds so unfamiliar speaking in multiple complete sentences. Also, confirmation she's friends with coma Kana.

- Kana's eyes twitch? Is her mystical aura power awakening too, or is she coming out of her coma?

- Haida? Who the heck is Haida? MAL entry says she's from another eroge. But have we seen her in this show before?

- Haha oh wow. There had been some speculation that Michiru was a plant, but she was even bugging the club room those times we saw. well, not saw her ass, but should have.
