Knitting Crochet Sewing Crafts Patterns and Ideas

When I tell other parents that I expecting a baby in June, they always tell me what a great time of year that is to have a baby. You can get outside and enjoy the weather with your new little one, and then down the road you can have fun outdoor birthday parties. This all sounds nice, but I got to say, I not convinced.

As a native northern Californian I have never gotten used to New York City summers (or winters either, but that another story.) The classic East Coast heat and humidity combo is both totally foreign and totally unbearable to me, and I worried that I going to have an equally uncomfortable kid.

This super simple Tiny Triangle Dress is an attempt to help my daughter-to-be beat the NYC summer heat! It inspired by a traditional pillowcase dress and made out of Liberty of London Tana Lawn, which is just about the coolest and breeziest fabric ever made. The pattern is such a snap to Trouwjurken nl sew that I planning to make a bunch of them in my favorite Liberty prints. So even if my baby hot, she still look cute!

The nice thing about a June birth is that you won be waddling around in the heat and humidity of July and August. You right, your baby may be very hot. My daughter was born in March in Oklahoma. By summer, when she was 4 months old she often went days wearing only a diaper because otherwise she be soaked in sweat. Of course, we stayed home most days. She had little lightweight dresses, similar to the cute one you made that I was comfortable putting on her. Once you get past split voor Prom Dresses this first summer I think you like having her birthday in June. But yes, make her some more cute, cool little dresses.

This little dress is so cute!! As for the baby on her way, I think I rather give birth before the heat of the summer strikes than be pregnant through it all! I had my son in the beginning of October, and I was MISERABLE in August. We went to a baseball game on a day it was almost 100 and muggy as all get-out, and my vloer-length avondjurken feet swelled so much that I could no longer fit into my sandals. When we left the ball park, I had to walk back to the car barefoot (which was quite a hike). Not fun! I think your June baby will be perfect :)
